xAI moves Grok 4.5 into private beta

xAI began private beta testing of Grok 4.5. The model is built on the V9 foundation model (about 1.5 trillion parameters) and is roughly 50% larger in scale than Grok 4.4, which shipped in late May — less than a month earlier.

This pace of compute scaling illustrates the intensity of the race among frontier labs.
